What an incredible way to start our journey in Brazil! On arrival to Tuto Bola after a beatitul drive from the airport, we were warmly greeted by our friends from UNIFESP, many of which we were able to recognize since meeting with them virtually to work on various course projects. While I’ve already met many of them virtually, it is an incredible feeling to finally meet all of our Brazilian friends in person and to connect with them on a deeper level. I hope to continue learning more from them as they introduce Brazil from their perspective rather than from research conducted on the web. Our evening ended with a visit to a local museaum and a restaurant where we said goodbye to our friends, while eagerly waiting to see what happens tomorrow! Can’t wait!
