The seventh day started a little bit disorganized as Uber dropped us off in the wrong spot due to a mistake in the address on the schedule. Regardless we arrived at IFOOD for a few presentations regarding the company, goals and strategies in use and how they want to grow bigger in Brazil before going possibly abroad. It is a fairly good company because of the many benefits to all involved in their business. I asked the question of what is in place to produce the digital infrastructure of IFOOD to protect from cyberattacks and hacking. Recently there was an issue with a third-party data leak. Currently, there are internal hack teams to test and protect digital infrastructure. Reward-based incentives are also offered to ethical hackers. Due to various factors, we did not have a full lunch like usual because we had another visit to attend. For the last visit of the day we went to GE Healthcare an international company, this division of the GE Conglomerate companies has been independent since last year, 2023. GE Healthcare, which utilizes the LEAN principles created by Toyota, faced challenges during COVID with ventilators and CTs, affecting cancer patients the most due to imaging delays. GE Healthcare is increasingly incorporating technology and AI to adapt to the evolving health sector. Finally, to end the day, we went shopping and dined at a nearby mall. Looking forward to the last day which seems very exciting in Santos.
