Dia quatro!

We began the day at Cubo Itau! It was really interesting to see how the bank funds new business ventures and start-ups. The companies selected must already have some revenue and must be selected by the organization. Cubo Itau is in a large building in the area of Vila Olímpia in São Paulo. Each floor is dedicated to a different industry. We visited the agriculture floor, the health floor, and the logistics floor. We toured the building and got some insight from two of the employees who work on discovering new ventures and helping them grow and succeed. We finished the day by visiting the Canadian Consulate in São Paulo. My group gave a presentation on exporting Telus Health to Brazil. The knowledge and insight I gained from this experience is extremely impactful. We met the trade commissioner and the assistant consulate general. The assistant consulate general is Canadian from Vancouver. She told us about her career path and how she got to where she is today. I valued the information she provided as when I was in high school, I wanted to work in diplomacy, and now I may want to work in it again. She began her career path in university with the co-op program. Having gone through the co-op program I have become more confident in my future, with how successful she became beginning her career path in the co-op program.
