Dia Cinco

The sixth day, started with a visit to the UNIFESP Sao Paulo Hospital, a public teaching hospital. We heard from the CEO Dr. Nacime, who presented information regarding the healthcare system in Brazil. He took over the hospital at a very weak moment in time and is considered powerful by many as his management has helped keep the hospital sustainable and out of bankruptcy. Dr. Fabio and Dr. Eduardo also presented various aspects and how many areas of healthcare need great improvement. Afterward, we dined at Roda Grill for lunch. After lunch we explored Parque Ibirapuera, we were able to have a guide led by the music director of the school located within the park. Lastly, to end the night we dined at the restaurant owned by Marcio Francesquine, Canada-Brazil Trade Commissioner for Infrastructure. The atmosphere was great, and very hospitable, everyone enjoyed the music and the food was delicious.
