Today we started off the day by visiting the IFood facility. It was absolutely incredible!! They had an assortment of food, snacks, and drinks! And a gorgeous view of an outdoor landscape, with a garden and outdoor activities! Today was my first time hearing about this food delivery service company, it’s a company based here in Brazil that offers an abundance of services but specializing or better known for food delivery! They have very efficient and effective ways of delivering. I feel UberEats, SkipTheDishes and DoorDash should utilize. Things like Drone delivery (not in all parts of Brazil yet), the IFood Hub, which is basically a setup area outside of the mall where all IFood orders are held for pickup by the driver to help save time, instead of having the drivers waste time inside the mall searching for the restaurant/store inside of the mall. These two were my favourite among the rest! We then had a light snack for lunch and headed to GE healthcare! Learning about their processes here in Brazil was very interesting and seeing the warehouse and manufacturing work they do was amazing!! Companies like GE healthcare that is constantly evolving their software and medical technology is vital to our society! We ended the day by playing ping pong and foosball with the rest of the students in the GE healthcare lounge. Overall today I learned alot as per usual, this trip has been very informative and has given us all the opportunities to see things and companies we wouldn’t have had the opportunity too before.
