On Tuesday we began our day at Cubo Itaú. This is an entrepreneurship hub in São Paulo. The hub works on a membership basis where different businesses that meet certain criteria get a place to work, access to expertise by Cubo, and a place to network. Each of the 12 floors is meant for a specific sector of business. We first got to explore the rooftop where most of the networking events occur. It had a beautiful view of the city. It was interesting to see the different floors and how the layout was so modern. We do not have anything similar in Canada where everyone is able to work alongside each other. Next we went to a lunch buffet - something different I have found is they charge by the weight of your plate instead of a flat rate. This was by far the best meal I have had so far on the trip! We ended our technical visits at the Canadian Consulate where we did our export presentations. The feedback from Marcio was very insightful and confirmed our research. I liked learning about the career path of how the representative got to work in Brazil from Canada. Overall the day was very insightful and I am excited for the rest of the week!
