Day 1 in Brasil

Today has been busy, exciting and super inviting! After a long days travel to get here, I was excited to step foot into São Paulo and see what everything is about. After an hour long taxi ride from our airport to our hotel, I began to learn a lot. As there were lots of reference to India and Lebanon, I was shocked to hear the similarities between countries-Terracotta rooves, concrete materials and driving culture are similar just to name a few. We checked into our hotel and it is beautiful and super clean! I couldn’t have asked for a better stay within this next week. Shortly thereafter we made our way to Tuta Bola to meet the Brazilian students. What an instant connection! Alice helped me determine how to prep Feijoada while Mariana gave me a great lay down of Brazil. Both were so excellent. Not only were they friendly, inviting and welcoming, they are great people too! After down to the museum after a couple of hours at Tuta Bola, was a great experience to get to see the streets in Brazil. After the museum we headed down to a local restaurant for some fun and conversations with the brazilian students. Today has been an awesome first day, can’t wait for more!

Fun Facts: Açai was originated in Brazil and has many different bases. Google has an office with an iconic green lawn. São Paulo is full of super cars. Swiss lemonade is made of Lemonade and condensed milk. They have avocados, but they’re different (Brazilian Avocados).
