A bit of home away from home

Yesterday involved a slew of cultural activities, starting with MASP, a renowned museum that showcased artwork from Picasso to Francis Bacon. Even more surprising was the continuous presence of African history and culture across many paintings. I was aware that certain regions have a predominately black population but was still surprised by how much representation there was. There was also a fashion show depicting various themes ranging from femicide to luxurious Akan-inspired traditional clothes (Fun fact: this is the tribe I'm from in Ghana and we are unapologetically THEE BEST DRESSED). We explored Avenue Paulista where I added to my growing collection of key chains and magnets. Next was Liberdade which is similar to Chinatown where we bought some treats. Can I just say that the São Paulo's subway is pristine and the artwork in the station was stunning, TTC may need to take a few notes...
